We all have heard the phrase, “Change doesn’t happen overnight.” From previous experiences, I think we all are aware it’s not that easy. I’ve tried time after time to reach my fitness goals and haven’t ever got to where I wish to be. I’m so passionate about working out for months at a time, then it seems like I hit a wall out of nowhere. In the past, my motivation has lacked when I change my daily schedule. Summer comes around and when there’s no classes, I seem to slack off without my structured schedule. Another time I noticed is when I came home from college and didn’t have to pay for my own food. Eating all the meals I wanted because it wasn’t my expense. A common loss of motivation is when people get into a relationship and slowing find other interest to put there time into. Dates usually consist of eating out, leading to less desire to work out and lack of spare time. Life throws things our way that distract us, but that’s why it’s so important to find ourselves and know what we are passionate about. Those things will help shape you into the person you want to become. Without them we start to lose track of ourselves, as well as our relationships, happiness and well-being. Things start to fall apart and we wonder why.
My blogging started out as something to help market Plato’s Closet. Now, my blogging is something that expresses myself and makes my happy. Blogging creates happiness in my life; therefore, I make sure to set aside time from everyday life, to express my thoughts and advice. The other things that help create my happiness are: God, working out, family/friends, my relationship with Jason, fashion, and COFFEE. There are other things, but these are the things I take time out of my day to accomplish.
Important key: FIND WHAT YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT
If it makes you a better person, feel good, and get closer to your goal, then DON’T GO WITHOUT IT! You can have other things in your life, just put your happiness as a PRIORITY.
Advice for significant others: Find someone who SHARES your interest and the things that make you happy. Having someone there to {motivate you and keep you accountable} will allow for a much HEALTHIER relationship in the long-run. Your significant other should inspire you, NOT DISTRACT YOU. (food for thought || not trying to cause any break-ups)
Passion creates a love for something you can’t live without. That passion leads to dedication that starts a fire in your heart. As a result, your dedication leads to the change you are looking for in life. Don’t forget this, as you are the only one responsible for your own happiness.
Just some of my thoughts for all the people losing that “New Year Resolution” motivation. Get out there and finish those goals. Find your happiness and share it with someone.
Happy Friday | TGIF, (this one is long…sorry)
As always, {BE TRUE. BE YOU.}
