obsession: eating

Raise your hand if you love to eat…ME! FOOD IS AWESOME, and food isn’t the bad guy. The bad guy holding you back is simply the unhealthy habits we’ve developed with undisciplined eating.

Today, I wanted to share with you the goodies I put together in the kitchen yesterday! As I been in the gym a lot lately, I been trying to keep my eating as healthy as possible! PUT GOOD IN, GET GOOD OUT!

For all you guys that have tried to do the same, but either slacked or need new ideas, I highly suggest that you go and follow healthy food and recipe accounts on social media! Every morning when I wake up, and every night before I go to sleep I am always strolling through my news feeds. This is the perfect time to browse those accounts and get ideas for your next meal or shopping trip!

Some of my favorite accounts are:

  • fithealthyrecipes
  • detoxpage
  • befitsnacks

…there are so many more accounts to follow and get ideas from, so get searching! 🙂

<<feel free to follow me if you don’t already: @ashleyovermyer>> 😍

It is SO important to remember, just like it is important to surround yourself with positive influences, it is just as important to fill other parts of your life with good things as well! Hint being: follow people and accounts on social media that are motivational and inspire you to reach your goals even faster than you imagined!

Put good in, get good out.

Ok- so enough of that, on to the FOOD! Yesterday, I got the privileged of working from home and so for my lunch I got a few more resources to play with than normal. I put a bunch of things out of the refrigerator and started brainstorming. I ended up with m decision being: Lettuce Buffalo-Ranch Chicken Wraps & Olive Oil based Pizza Bagels

Lettuce Wrap: Buffalo-Ranch Chicken Style
(now I can’t take the credit for these because while browsing my Instagram the other day, my friend, Bree posted a picture of these for her dinner and I couldn’t resist…SO GOOD)img_3965

  • Lettuce
  • Chicken Breast (mixed with Franks Buffalo dressing and a bit of ranch)
  • Colby Jack Cheese (shredded)
  • Red Onion (diced)
  • Pickles (MY FAV)

Olive Oil based Pizza Bagels

  • Onion Bagels
  • Olive Oil
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Garlic Salt
  • Cilantro
  • Aged-Cheddar Cheese

All I did for these was: prep and put in the oven under the broiler for 3 minutes to quickly melt the cheese and toast the bagel. Super easy and filling! Great snack for under 400 Calories! (I added sliced cucumbers with jalapeno cream cheese dollops…YUM)

Try them out and add your own style to it! Great healthy and quick options to keep you on the right track. BE HEALTHY.

Happy Thursday everyone. Eat up 🙂
As always. BE TRUE. BE YOU.
