I have received so many questions about how I curl my hair. Funny thing is, I can throw some quick curls in my hair and be done in less than ten minutes. Yesterday, I made a video that sums up my entire process, start to finish.

I started from scratch and I let my hair air dry from my shower. I try not to blow dry my hair for two reasons: 1) it is time consuming and 2) not healthy for your hair. To prevent this from straining my schedule, I usually shower before bed and worry about my hair in the morning.

My curling iron is a Conair 1 inch barrel (totally generic brand, inexpensive, BUT BEST CURLING IRON EVER). I like the messy curls so I always run my fingers through my curls to break them up and keep them loose. I NEVER hold the curl in my hair either, instead I wavy the curl and only keep the iron in my hair for a few seconds! This helps to add bounce and playfulness to my hair, while also adding to the messy curl look!

When it comes to products- I live by Joico. My salon uses and sells it, but if you don’t want to pay salon prices, order it from Amazon! Way less expensive and usually free shipping.

Products used:

• Joico Flip Turn Spray (I hate hairspray, but this is the perfect light hold for voluminous hair)
• Joico Heat Protection Spray (SPARE YOUR HAIR!)
• “So Sexy” by Victoria Secret shine spray (smells AMAZING!…don’t spray directly to your roots)

I also wanted you guys to know that this video was only 8 minutes and 52 seconds before I cut it up and edited it. For those of you who aren’t aware of HOW MUCH HAIR I HAVE just know…if I can curl my whole head in that amount of time- so can you. DON’T BE DISCOURAGED.
