Happy Tuesday! This past weekend I got to travel with my boyfriend’s mother to go watch Jason at his final round of the year. HOW FAST DID THAT GO?! I know right. Jason got to play in the conference championship in Wabash, Indiana.
The weather the first day was AWFUL. The rain started in the morning and didn’t end until an hour AFTER Jason finished. Battle of the Braves on the course. Jason’s mom always comes prepared (THANK GOODNESS, she is a blessing)! She brought all the necessities needed to keep us warm, and dry! We made it through the entire round, and that is all that matters!
We were able to have dinner with the team in downtown Wabash. If you’re ever traveling to that area, highly suggest staying in the historical hotel, Charley Creek Inn. Such a cute little hotel (in the middle of a town where there isn’t too much else to do). BUT ADORABLE.
Anyways, Mount St. Joseph Men’s Golf finished 2nd in the conference championship. Super proud of all the boy’s hard work and perseverance through the season!
Jason wasn’t too happy with how he played…ladies, for some reason men are super hard on themselves and never really know how proud you are of them. Yes, that is my boyfriend. I understand the mentality behind his disappointment, he improved tremendously throughout the season, physically and mentally. For some reason, men may not understand that we are not there to support them because of how they are playing, but rather watching them do their thing, is what becomes some of our favorite things. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Well, as I wipe my sappy girlfriend tears, good news is on the way! My wisdom teeth surgery was successful, and I am recovering well (aside from getting sick on the pain medication). EWW! I am making it through! I was so bored today that I got off the couch and went to walk on the treadmill, and ride the bike at the gym. I was feeling much better, so I don’t advise this to anyone! Everyone is different.
To continue the good news, I have a week full of happy events! Jason’s birthday was this past week and he gets to come home for a couple days on Thursday! Seven weeks was seven weeks too long. I will get to celebrate with him and his family, very excited. Also, his mother’s birthday is Saturday, Mother’s Day is Sunday, Jason’s sister graduates from The Ohio State University, and my birthday is MONDAY! So much excitement in one sentence!
Alright, well enough with my life updates. I hope God is opening your eyes to new adventures everyday. He is good, and all the time He is good. Find something or someone to be grateful for today, you won’t regret it.
Have a great rest of your week! Count your blessings & be a blessing to others around you.
As always, Be TRUE. Be YOU.
